WHAT IS HEAT RUSH IN SUMMER ?

During the summer months, it's not uncommon to experience heat rushes or heatwaves in many parts of the world. Heat rushes refer to prolonged periods of excessively hot weather, often accompanied by high humidity levels. These conditions can be uncomfortable and pose health risks, so it's important to take precautions to stay cool and hydrated.

SYMPTOMS OF HEAT RUSH:-

1.Small, itchy red bumps on the skin

2.Prickling or stinging sensation

3.Areas of the skin may feel inflamed or irritated

4.Sometimes, there can be mild swelling or blistering.

REMADIES:-

1.Move to a cooler environment: If you're experiencing heat rash, it's important to get out of the heat and into a cooler, air-conditioned environment.

2.Keep the affected area dry: Gently pat the affected area with a soft towel to remove any excess sweat. Avoid rubbing, as it can further irritate the skin.

3.Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing: Opt for breathable fabrics like cotton that allow air circulation and help keep the skin dry.

4.Use cool compresses: Apply cool, damp washcloths or take a cool shower to soothe the affected areas.

5.Avoid using heavy lotions or creams: Thick creams and lotions can worsen the condition by trapping sweat and heat. Instead, use a mild, non-irritating moisturizer or calamine lotion.

6.Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help regulate body temperature and promote healthy skin.

7.Avoid excessive sweating: Engage in activities that help you stay cool and minimize sweating, such as staying in shaded areas, using fans, or taking breaks in air-conditioned spaces.

8.Over-the-counter remedies: If the symptoms persist or become severe, you can consult a healthcare professional who may recommend over-the-counter hydrocortisone creams or antihistamines to reduce inflammation and itching.

If the heat rash doesn't improve or if it becomes infected, it's advisable to consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and treatment. or blistering
